Pitch4Pete.com Goes Live – Lets Raise $50k For Pete Wood & ALS!

A Big Thanks for all those who have helped us to date raise the first 50k, THANK YOU for your fantastic support, this has enabled us to achieve our first milestone towards this world first research… and a human clinical trial for non-invasive stem cell therapy! Please continue to support, share, tweet, post and promote and more importantly donate for the next phase!

Today we are very excited to officially launch Pitch4pete.com. We set this website up with the goal of helping to raise funds for Pete Wood and his family, and the thousands of other people impacted by Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Lou Gehrig’s or Motor Neuron Disease by which it is commonly known around the world.

Pete and his son Zac regularly played baseball on their street prior to the disease being diagnosed, and are avid fans, this gave rise to the theme of “baseball”. It’s not only a great sport, but it also teaches you the value of teamwork, of people working together to achieve a goal and our teams dream is to try in our own small way to help combat ALS!

We’re fortunate enough to be part of a community based network of people who want to do more for their neighbours and know our goal to raise $50k is attainable. There is also hope, from local and brilliant physicians in the Toronto area in terms of stem-cell research, and a potential clinical trial that we want to ensure our friend Pete is on. That however requires funding – and this is were I need the the greater community spirit and support to raise money for this cause.

Lets #Pitch4Pete! Help us hit it out of the park by donating for Pete & #ALS Click To Tweet

We wanted to ensure we were just in time for the new 2016 baseball season and hopefully a raft of new trials here in Canada that Pete and his fellow team mates (there’s 2999 people here in Canada – the equivalent of 333 baseball teams, and 450,000 people globally fighting the disease) can take advantage of in their battle against ALS.

We know the support of family, friends, neighbours and complete strangers is vital to them all and raises awareness about ALS. Please support, share, tweet, post and promote below and importantly donate to this cause, oh and Pitch4Pete or Pitch4Whomever you know has been impacted by the disease… Just pitch for the love of the game and the people and families affected by the disease!
